Vintage Aluminium Kettle
Here is an old school aluminium kettle believed to be from the 50s to the early 70s. I can picture in my head about this kettle being placed over the charcoal stove. Kettle like this can be great collectible and display item too. It is very hard to find a kettle like this which is made from Aluminium these days as the material price is expensive these days. Therefore, stainless steel becomes a suitable option and a good substituent for aluminium.
My mum shared with me her experience using this kettle as she used to boil lemon juice for the workers at my grandmother's charcoal shop. My mum used to have a larger kettle which can hold 7 litres of water unlike this smaller one, that can only hold about 5.5 litres and have a diameter of 22 cm. Kettle like this are long lasting and you could even find some of them are being used today.
The only part that would wear out and break is the black plastic grip on the handle of the aluminium kettle. The trends of boiling water over the years had changed drastically as kettles in the past are boiled over fire and now, you see people boil water from electric kettle which are much convenient and safer.
