Vintage toolbox

Image
This is a light duty toolbox used by my grandfather back in his younger days. When I first opened, I discover a lot of vintage tools like inches screw drivers, spanner and many more old tools. Those tools are very rare to be found these days and it is worth keeping them just in case I will need them in the future for other restoration projects. The toolbox is a very stiff when I open it. At first, I struggle quite a lot in opening the box, but with the help of WD-40, I was able to open it easily. The joints of the box got smoothen along the way. There is also a presence of rust coated on this piece here. For your information, the brand of this toolbox is Wilde, and it is made in USA.

Vintage tap

Image
I am not a junk collector but this vintage tap looks super unique to me and that is why I collected it. When I took it, I noticed that this tap couldn't really close well as there were quite a lot of wear and tare in the inside. The tap is dirty in the inside as you can see a layer of rust in the picture at the bottom. This tap could possibly be from the 60s to the 70s. The measurement of the tread line of this tap is using British standard where the units are present in inches. To open this tap, you need to turn anticlockwise whereas to close it, you need to turn clockwise. The original colour of the knob of the tap is actually red in colour, but the colour has faded over the years. This is actually a high collectable item for vintage collectors but you will need to find a good use for it. Maybe you can use it as a display item ?? The creativity goes to you.

Vintage Metal Pail

Image
Here is an old but usable metal pail from my great grandmother's era. This pail has watched almost everyone grew up in my family as it is more than 50 years old. Overall this pail is still in a very good condition despite being well used over the years. There are still spots of rusty areas inside the pail and some on the exterior of it. The diameter of pail is 40 cm and the height of the pail is 62 cm tall . The weight about close to 2 kilograms and can hold up to 10 liters of water. One fact which I can get from this pail is that it is made in Singapore under Axe brand under the company, "Lian Pang.co".
