Vintage Bird Display

Image
Here is an old retro little bird display from the early 70s. It was a souvenir bought for my grandmother from my aunt during her trip to Japan in 1971. It span a length of 10.5 cm in diameter and stands at 8.6 cm in height. The frame holding the display is made from stainless steel painted in gold colour paint.  It is indeed a very beautiful piece here for collection and worth keeping it.

Vintage Torpedo Level

Here is a torpedo level tool use to make sure that the surface is flat. Not sure why this tool ends up in my collection. Anyway, it looks really vintage from the 90s. This torpedo level thingy is still in an excellent condition and it comes with the box as well.

Swallow Brand Typewriter Ribbon

Image
Swallow brand is one of the most popular typewriter ribbons used here in Singapore and Malaysia. The casing is made from tin and painted red with beautiful graphics and wording styles. The ribbons of Swallow brand are made in England. It could be from the 70s and the 80s where typewriters are very popular back then. On my recent discovery, some bookshops in older towns of Malaysia do sell typewriter ribbon. Back then, when I got my time writer ribbon, it was more than 10 years ago and it was sold only for 20 ringgit per ribbon for black colour. There are instructions on how to place the typewriter ribbon, seen printed on the side of the container. I found this to be an empty container and there is nothing inside it.

Mobil 1995 Calendar

Here is a mint and a brand new 1995 Mobil Calendar. This calendar bares the new Mobil logo whereas the older horse logo is no longer in used. The old Mobil logo that has the horse sign was last seen printed on 1994 diaries and calendars.  The original plastic wrapping is still attached on the calendar and it hasn't been taken out yet.
