Rare and huge enamel basin

I am so glad to find this huge and rare enamel basin which my great grandmother had kept for many donkey years. Although the condition of this basin isn't very good, I believe this can still fetch a high value in today's market due to it's unique large size. Larger enamel basins are much harder to find in antique shops as compared to smaller basins. In the past, only one household could have either one or two of these kind of large basin. This basin is mainly use for washing clothes and also a bath tube for baby and young children.

This is a rare 1950s enamel basin which was kept well by my great grandmother


The diameter of this basin is 67 cm and it stands at 25 cm height. Some of you guys maybe wandering how huge is this ?? Not to worry as I made things better by providing a clearer comparison in the picture below. The green enamel bowl is as big as your ordinary rice bowl.

Probably, this is more than 50 years old already. I found this not long ago at my grandmother's old shop where it was left there behind the toilet for a very long time. The condition of the bottom of the basin isn't very good as there were many peeled off areas.

Konica Autoreflex T2

Konica Autoreflex T2 is not really a popular camera in the past unlike Canon or Nikon. One feature of this camera which I like the most is the solid metal finishing. It makes the camera looks more vintage and older feel.  The front view of the camera This camera also comes with 1.4 57mm Hexanon lens which takes good and clear pictures. Hexanon lens are known for it's quality and sharpness.  Camera like this are less expensive compared to Nikon F2, Nikon FE and Canon A1. The price range for a Konica Autoreflex T2 is about 200 SGD around that pricing.  The Konica lens cap is very flimsy and it can drop off anytime. Vintage USHA fan

This fan was originally bought in 1946 right after world war 2, when my great grandma bought the shop. I believe that time, after the war broke out, many of the shops when through renovations and many of them were rebuilt back again. So that is how I predict the age and the year of this fan. This fan is placed in the living room upstairs of the old shop. Having a ceiling fan like this was really a luxury in the past, as many couldn't afford it. The most common brand ceiling fan in the 40s were GEC fan. USHA is a cheaper version of the GEC fan as it is made in India. The quality of the USHA fan is as good as the quality of the GEC fan. This fan ball bearing have not been changed for about 40 years and it is still in good working condition. The fan can still spin at max speed without making any noise.
