Vintage Aluminum Basin

Aluminum basin are rarer than enamel basin and they are mostly use in the 60s and 70s. Aluminum basin are much more costly than enamel basin due to it's material used. Aluminum are known for it's light weight properties.

One bad thing about these aluminum basin is that it gets dent very easily as you can see in the photos. From the photos, I bet you can see the damage it has received over the few decades. I think you can even slowly count the number of dent marks which can be use to indicate how many times it has dropped. I don't know whats the brand of this basin as there was no sticker or stamp mark to indicate the brand.

Considering it has the same diameter and height of the basin, aluminum basin are much more lighter in weight than enamel basin as aluminum basin weighs about 255 grams whereas enamel basin weighs about 750 grams.

Aluminum basin are less common due to the expensive price of it. But overall, aluminum doesn't rust at all which means aluminum basin can last longer, provided you take good care of it.
