Collection of Vintage Mugs and Cups

Who here likes to collect free items? I bet everyone of us certainly do !

As I observe over the years, I found out that cups are always being given free when you make a purchase of the sponsored products. Normally it will be toothpaste brands such as Darlie or Colgate which always give out free cups. I am very sure that some of us are willing to buy the toothpaste or other products specially to get the cup.

Vintage cups of my past collection

For me as a vintage collector, I seldom collect cups. Even I do collect, it will be those vintage cups or glasses. I do collect wine glasses and also mugs. Here is a small part of my collection, you are actually only seeing 1/5 of this collection. The other 4/5 part of this collection will be share with you guys another time.

Konica Autoreflex T2 is not really a popular camera in the past unlike Canon or Nikon. One feature of this camera which I like the most is the solid metal finishing. It makes the camera looks more vintage and older feel.  The front view of the camera This camera also comes with 1.4 57mm Hexanon lens which takes good and clear pictures. Governors Of Malaysian Banknote

From the day of Malaysia's independence day until today in 2019, there is a current total of 9 governors of Bank Negara Malaysia. These governors sign various series of the Malaysian banknotes. Tan Sri William Howard Wilcox ( January 1959 to July 1962) x The first on the list is  Tan Sri William Howard Wilcox also in short, W. H. Wilcox . He is a British  man who came to Malaysia in 1958 and his duty was to be a banking adviser to the Government of Malaya. A year later, he became the first governor of Bank Negara Tanah Melayu which was the old name before it was change to Bank Negara Malaysia.  Tun Ismail Mohamed Ali ( July 1962 to July 1980) In 1962, W. H. Wilcox, handled his duty to Tun Ismail Mohamed Ali who was the first Malaysian governor of Bank Negara Malaysia.  Tun Ismail is also known for his integrity character who is always on time. Vintage Aluminum Basin

Aluminum basin are rarer than enamel basin and they are mostly use in the 60s and 70s. Aluminum basin are much more costly than enamel basin due to it's material used. Aluminum are known for it's light weight properties. One bad thing about these aluminum basin is that it gets dent very easily as you can see in the photos. From the photos, I bet you can see the damage it has received over the few decades. I think you can even slowly count the number of dent marks which can be use to indicate how many times it has dropped. I don't know whats the brand of this basin as there was no sticker or stamp mark to indicate the brand. Considering it has the same diameter and height of the basin, aluminum basin are much more lighter in weight than enamel basin as aluminum basin weighs about 255 grams whereas enamel basin weighs about 750 grams.
