This is how Goodman Whisky box looks like in the 1980s.  Quite rare item to overcome these days. The condition of the box doesn't really looks good due to aging and bad storage.

As you can see, this set consist of a few animals and we have 2 deer, 2 elephants and a horse.  I am helping my aunt to sell these wood crafting set for 20 Singapore dollars. Mailing fees applied to those oversea buyers. Interested people can comment below.

Postcard from schools in Singapore

Image
The first card is from San Yu Adventist School dated back in 2001. It is quite common back in the past for school to give their school theme postcards to students. I bet some boys would use this card as a love message and act like a name card to pass to their crushes they like. Most of school theme postcards are commonly use as love letters in the past. Here is the back image of this card, where it shows the school details and phone number. Here is another card from Nanyang Girls High School back in the year 2008.  I know that the front picture looks a bit scary for some of you, but there is a meaning behind it. The theme for this card is mixed media and the details of the message can be found behind of the card. Another card in my collection is also from Nanyang Junior College and the theme for this card is oil on canvas. This card is very well drawn and I like the design very much. The meaning of the theme used can be found again at the back of the card with clear explanation.

Vintage Spoon

Image
Here are a few pieces of vintage porcelain spoon from the 70s. The design of the spoon are carefully handpainted and the origin of this spoon is from China. These spoons can still be found use at older Chinese restaurants across Malaysia. When washing these spoons, care is needed as you don't want to drop these spoons. Spoon like this are normally served with a bowl of rice together with a pair of chopsticks.  These spoons have seen disappearing in kitchens as people tend to use stainless steel spoons instead of these traditional Chinese porcelain spoons.

Strange looking Knife

Image
Here is a beautiful strange looking knife from the 60s or earlier. I am not sure what's the previous use for this ancient looking knife. I found it in my grandfather's tool box.

Vintage Goldsmith Work Desk

Image
This desk is given by an owner of a gold smith shop to my grandfather back in the 70s. This desk which last place at my grandmother's shop was used to be a working desk for heavy tools. The bottom compartment is used to keep heavy tools like hammers, spanners and many more. The surface of the desk is made in a way to withstand the pressure and stress of the hammering work as it is made with a thick layer of teakwood underneath the cardboard to give it a strong surface. This desk is impressive steady and strong despite its age.

Vintage Plastic Spoon

Image
Ever wonder how does disposable plastic spoon looks like in the 90s ?? Well, I had a full set of them here. These spoons come in 4 different colours unlike today's spoon which are only plain white or translucent. Besides that, these vintage spoons are made under A star brand that made other plastic products such as Tupperware, trays and toothbrushes.  The quality of the past plastic spoons are still the same as the current ones. I have not seen coloured plastic disposable spoon for many years because I always do takeaway my food especially during covid situation. It can also be a collectible item for some of you out there, who knows??

Rare Vintage McDonald Postcard

Image
Here is a hot collectible item especially if you are a postcard collector like me. You can see the advertisement back in the early 2000s, where McDonald in Singapore used to have their McSpaghetti. Not long later, McSpaghetti is removed away from the menu due to unknown reasons.  Honestly, I didn't even get a chance to ever try McSpaghetti in my life and not sure how it taste like. The price is 3.95 SGD and it is consider very cheap. At the back of the card, there is a lot of space for you to write your message to your love ones or friends and share the beauty of McDonald to them. This card is dated back to Oct 2002 which is 18 years ago from the time of posting.
