Image
Here is an old postcard which is from the year 2002 by Hotel Phoenix. I always remember back in the past if you stay in high class hotels, there will be some souvenir for you to take back.  This case here is using their postcard to encourage people to come and enjoy their hotel ballroom buffet.

Vintage Planetmg Postcard

Image
Planetmg is a music platform for music lovers to visit back in the early 2000s. At Planetmg, you can download a huge variety of hot hits to hear. The website is no longer available and has been taken down. This postcard is dated back to the year 2001. At the back of the card, there is plenty of space for one to write their message on the card itself.

Vintage plastic tray

Image
Here is an old school plastic tray with a beautiful flora design. This tray is most likely from the late 80s to the early 90s. Commonly seen orange juices or other refreshing beverages being serve in this kind of tray before. Overall, it is really a nice piece to have it. One interesting thing about this vintage tray is that it is made in Japan. Therefore, I am selling it away for 5 Singapore dollars for this tray here.

Vintage StarHub Postcard

Image
Well, I bet you seldom see telco postcard like this being distributed around these days. The year of the distribution for this postcard is from the year 2001, which is 19 year ago. Unfortunately, I only have one out of the six design of this StarHub postcard. This card aims at you helping their company to promote their great offers to your friends and family. You can even peel off the dotted lines at the back and stick your friend's photo which will appear on the front of the card at the position where the person's face is.

Enamel Pot

Image
I would see my grandmother use this pot to boil soup for the whole family during my younger days. There are quite a few similar ones at home and this piece here is a spare piece which my grandmother kept. I decided to choose this for photo taking as there isn't any rim bites or dents on the pot itself and the condition is mint.  Overall, it is indeed a very beautiful piece here. Enamelware in the past used to come in various colours and this can brighten up dining experience too. You could find food serve in plates, pots and bowls of different colours. Enamel pot have been extinct due to the superior successor of the stainless-steel pot which had better properties such as anti rusting and durability.

Vintage Drinking Glasses

Image
Here is a set of 5 vintage glasses from the 70s. It bares the image of the beautiful painted flowers on the glass surface. Normally glass should be in set of 6, but this case I am not sure why there is 5. Maybe one could be broken in the past? These glasses are good collectible items of all times are rarely used these days. The better handling design of cups with a proper handle that make consumer easier to grip them as compare to glasses make a reason why consumer prefer to use cups instead.  Chances of you slipping off from washing glasses is quite high as glass gets very slippery when wet.

Dutch Baby Tupperware

Dutch Baby originated in the year 1954 under the company Friesland (Malaya) Pte Ltd. At that time, the main task for that company is to import fresh milk from Holland and market them in Malaya and Singapore. In the year 1963, the company made a change to their name and decided to name it Pacific Milk Industries (Malaya) Sdn Bhd when Malaysia became Independence. Besides the name change, the decision to move the factory to Petaling Jaya that provides them a wider space for storage and processing happen too. After 12 years, the company decided to change their name to Dutch baby Milk Industries (Malaya) Berhad. The brand Dutch Baby was then change to Dutch Lady in the year 1984. Therefore from that previous history shared above, we now know that the brand Dutch Baby no longer exist and it is a good opportunity to collect their items. This tupperware is from the early 80s, just before the change of their brand from Dutch Baby to Dutch Lady. You can even see the old Dutch Baby logo shaped o

Swallow Brand Typewriter Ribbon

Image
Swallow brand is one of the most popular typewriter ribbons used here in Singapore and Malaysia. The casing is made from tin and painted red with beautiful graphics and wording styles. The ribbons of Swallow brand are made in England. It could be from the 70s and the 80s where typewriters are very popular back then. On my recent discovery, some bookshops in older towns of Malaysia do sell typewriter ribbon. Back then, when I got my time writer ribbon, it was more than 10 years ago and it was sold only for 20 ringgit per ribbon for black colour. There are instructions on how to place the typewriter ribbon, seen printed on the side of the container. I found this to be an empty container and there is nothing inside it.

Vintage Tiger Beer Jug

Image
Here is a rare Tiger Beer Jug from the early 90s. The old Tiger Beer logo is seen printed on the jug itself. The capacity of this jug is 1 litre and the material is made from glass. I remember back in the past, people still use this kind of jug to serve beer, where the coffeeshop uncle or aunty would open the cans of beer and pour into this jug serve to a table of guest. There will also be a bucket of ice serve together as well for a cool and chill experience.
